When you first get into running you quickly realise that there is a whole new ‘running world’ that exists. There’s a vocabulary of new words from HR (heart rate) to VO2 Max (maximal oxygen consumption) and a plethora of gadgets that can be a little overwhelming! 

Collecting data becomes important to be able to track your progress, so knowing exactly what to record and how to access that information from your watch is invaluable knowledge to have. Enjoyment factor and safety also play a role in your confidence and success as a runner, so understanding how to stay engaged and ‘seen’ will help you in the long run (pun completely intended 🙂 )
